John B. Gearing is a seasoned business leader and advisor with over twenty-five years of experience across global sports, retail, and private equity. He has held senior roles with Adidas and VF Corporation, where he was Managing Director of the APAC Sportswear portfolio, and served as CEO of One Fit Holdings, the private equity vehicle of a major GCC family whose core business was UFC Gyms MENA.
John is the founder of Global Sports Advisory Ltd, which advises and invests in early-stage sports and fitness ventures. He has contributed to numerous industry publications and private equity forums, bringing insights shaped by both corporate leadership and entrepreneurial investment. A former police tactical unit platoon commander and private military contractor, John brings a decisive, no-nonsense approach to leadership rooted in clarity and execution. He currently resides in Edinburgh, Scotland.
